TrueMed – HSA / FSA

Use Your HSA/FSA for Enova with Truemed

Unlock pre-tax savings on eligible Enova memberships, personal training, and nutrition services through our partnership with Truemed.

At Enova Nutrition & Fitness Center, we believe strength, movement, and smart nutrition are real healthcare. Through our partnership with Truemed, qualified clients may be able to use Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) funds on eligible Enova services when a licensed provider determines they are medically necessary.

You’ll complete a quick online assessment with Truemed’s telehealth team to see if you qualify, then submit your Enova receipts to your HSA/FSA administrator for reimbursement.

How Truemed + Enova Work Together

Getting started is simple. Here’s how the process works from start to finish:

Step 1 – Complete a Quick Health Assessment

Start with a short, private online health questionnaire through Truemed. A licensed healthcare provider reviews your responses to determine whether your Enova services qualify as medically necessary. If you’re approved, you’ll receive a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN).

Step 2 – Purchase Your Enova Program as Usual

Sign up for your Enova membership, personal training, or nutrition services and pay with your normal debit or credit card. In most cases, you won’t pay Enova directly with your HSA/FSA card – your plan reimburses you after the fact.

Step 3 – Submit for HSA/FSA Reimbursement

Using the LMN and guidance from Truemed, you submit your Enova receipts to your HSA/FSA administrator. If your expenses are approved, you receive reimbursement from your HSA/FSA using pre-tax dollars.

Enova Services That May Be Eligible

If Truemed’s provider determines that structured exercise or nutrition coaching at Enova is medically necessary for you, certain services may be eligible for HSA/FSA reimbursement when paired with your LMN and approved by your plan administrator.

  • Personal Training & Coaching
Individual or semi-private training designed to support goals like weight management, metabolic health, strength, and mobility.
  • Nutrition Consultations & Coaching
Evidence-based nutrition guidance to support body composition, blood sugar control, cardiovascular health, and overall performance.
  • Structured Programs & Memberships
Ongoing Enova memberships and training plans identified by your provider as part of a medically necessary fitness or wellness plan.
  • Related Add-On Services
Add-ons that your provider and plan administrator deem part of the same medically necessary program.

Note: Eligibility is determined by Truemed’s clinicians and your specific HSA/FSA plan. Not all services or members will qualify, and approval is not guaranteed.

Why Use HSA/FSA Funds for Your Health

HSA and FSA accounts allow you to use pre-tax dollars for qualified healthcare expenses, which can increase your effective spending power compared to paying with after-tax income. When a fitness or nutrition program is supported by a Letter of Medical Necessity, it can be treated as a qualified medical expense, subject to your plan’s rules.

  • Save more with pre-tax dollars — many clients effectively save up to around 30% by using pre-tax funds instead of post-tax income.
  • Invest in prevention — support weight management, metabolic health, strength, and long-term resilience before issues escalate.
  • Stay accountable — combine the structure of Enova’s coaching with the financial benefit of your HSA/FSA.

Enova + Truemed is one more way we make staying strong, resilient, and confident more accessible and sustainable.

Frequently Asked Details

Truemed is an independent service that connects you with licensed medical providers who can determine if certain wellness expenses—such as gym memberships and fitness programs—are medically necessary for you. If you qualify, they issue a Letter of Medical Necessity that you can use to seek reimbursement from your HSA/FSA plan.

In most cases, you will pay Enova with your standard debit or credit card and then submit your receipt, together with your Letter of Medical Necessity, to your HSA/FSA administrator for reimbursement. Some plans may allow direct payment with an HSA/FSA card, but the reimbursement route is often recommended for compliance. Always follow the instructions from Truemed and your plan administrator.

Enova services that may qualify include personal training, semi-private training memberships, and nutrition coaching, as long as a Truemed provider deems them medically necessary and your HSA/FSA administrator accepts them. We cannot pre-determine eligibility for individual clients; that decision is made by the provider and your plan.

No. Truemed helps with the clinical review and documentation (including your Letter of Medical Necessity), but your HSA/FSA administrator has the final say on what they reimburse.

Processing times vary by HSA/FSA administrator. Many plans review and approve valid claims within a few weeks once you submit your Letter of Medical Necessity and receipts, but timelines are not controlled by Enova or Truemed.

Typically, a Letter of Medical Necessity is valid for a set period of time (often up to 12 months) for specified services. As long as your LMN is valid and covers your Enova services, you usually will not need to redo the survey for each purchase, but you will still need to submit receipts to your HSA/FSA administrator.

Disclaimer: Enova Nutrition & Fitness Center does not provide tax, legal, or medical advice. Truemed is an independent third-party service and is solely responsible for its telehealth assessments and Letters of Medical Necessity. HSA/FSA eligibility and reimbursement decisions are made by your plan administrator and may vary by individual and plan. For questions about your specific benefits, please consult your HSA/FSA administrator or a qualified tax or healthcare professional.
